Ferrari GTC4 Lusso T
Ferrari's first ever four-seater with a turbocharged
V8 engine will make its official debut at the upcoming Paris Auto Show. This
turbocharged version comes hot on the heels of the GTC4Lusso, which already
raised the bar in terms of performance for Ferrari's signature four-seater
12-cylinder GTs. The GTC4Lusso T is aimed
"squarely at drivers looking for range as well as sporty driving and
versatility."
Powered by a 3.9-liter V8 turbo, good for 602 hp and 760 Nm of torque, the GTC4Lusso T is capable of
accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds, before maxing out
at slightly over 320 km/h.
Compared to the more powerful non-turbocharged
GTC4Lusso, this new version is slower by just 0.1 seconds to 100 km/h. The engine in the GTC4Lusso T is an evolution of the V8 turbo that won
"International Engine of the Year 2016" - with peak power coming at
7,500 rpm and peak torque available between 3,000 and 5,250 rpm.
By combining this powertrain with rear-wheel drive,
Ferrari managed to save weight as well. Yet, the car still features 4WS
(rear-wheel steering) for a more nimble and responsive drive, a system which
works together with the Side Slip Control (SSC3) to allow for more aggression
when entering or exiting corners.
In terms of styling, the GTC4Lusso T offers the same
take on what a shooting brake coupe should look like under Italian management.
Inside, it features Ferrari's unique Dual Cockpit architecture as well as the
latest iteration of their infotainment system, complete with a 10.25" HD
touchscreen.
The GTC4Lusso T is expected to average
as little as 11.6 l/100km (20.2 US mpg) and 265 grams of CO2/km.
