The Wrangler Unlimited has launched in India. Jeep
Wrangler India price is roughly Rs. 71 Lakhs. The Wrangler has gone on sale in
Unlimited trim.
The Jeep Wrangler India price is an
almost ey-watering Rs. 71.59 Lakhs. Such steep pricing is courtesy of high
import duties on CBUs. Jeep India could later assemble the Wrangler in India.
This is sure to bring the cost down by a considerable margin.
The Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is internationally
available with a powerful 3.6-litre, V6, VVT petrol engine. However, India gets
a less powerful 2.8-litre Diesel Engine. It comes mated to a 5-Speed Automatic
transmission. It produces 197 BHP and 460 Nm. While the V6 Petrol boasts a 6-speed
Auto, the Diesel-powered Wrangler for India makes do with a 5-Speed Auto. It
also boasts a Command-Trac Shift-On-The-Fly 4 Wheel Drive system.
The interior of the Wrangler is really
upmarket. It gets two upholstery options – Sedosa cloth and McKinley leather.
