2016 Nissan Sylphy (Philippines)

Nissan Philippines has given its Sylphy a much-needed upgrade for 2016. But you won’t find the difference by walking around outside or poking inside the engine bay. The newest thing on the 2016 Sylphy is its infotainment system.

Nissan’s compact car finally ditches its Bluetooth-less audio system for something a tad more sophisticated. On the center console resides a new 8-inch capacitive touchscreen audio display with AM/FM, CD/DVD, MP3, Aux, USB, iPod, and even Bluetooth functionality. Also, it offers an HDMI port for Mirror Link for users to easily sync their smartphones into the system. Though GPS navigation remains an option, this more than makes up for the rather basic infotainment system the Sylphy had before.

The upgraded system is present on all variants of the Sylphy which also equates to a minor price adjustment. The 1.6-liter M/T is now PHP 856,000 while the 1.6-liter CVT is pegged at PHP 949,000. The top-of-the-line 1.8-liter CVT meanwhile breaches the million mark settling in at PHP 1,013,000.

The 2016 Nissan Sylphy comes in five shades of gray: Ebony, Brilliant Silver, Grayish Bronze (not exactly too gray) Deep Irish Gray, and Aspen White.
