2017 Kawasaki Versys 250 (rumor)


Indonesian website, TMCBlog has managed to unearth more details of the upcoming 250 cc adventure tourer from Kawasaki. Though exact details are not yet evident, it is to be noted that Kawasaki has imported two bikes with the codename LE250B and LE250C.

Kawasaki Versys 250 is an entry level adventure bike which is set for launch in Indonesia in the coming weeks, while it could make its way to markets in India by mid 2017. Borrowing its design cues from the Versys 650, Versys 250 sports a diamond framework offering better stability while it receives upside down forks on front and petal discs at the rear.

Engine specifications on board the Kawasaki Versys 250 have been detailed. This includes a 249 cc, 8 valve, twin cylinder engine offering 32 bhp power and 21 Nm torque mated to a 6 speed manual transmission. This is the same engine seen on the Ninja 250R and Z250 which also promises a high level of fuel efficiency.

More details about the Versys 250 are expected to be revealed in the coming weeks. Launch of Kawasaki Versys 250 will make the entry level segment of adventure touring motorcycles very competitive.
