2017 Mercedes GLA (facelift)
The last of the ‘Mercedes New
Generation Compact Cars’ due for its mid-cycle update is the Mercedes GLA.
Planned for commercial launch next year, the 2017 Mercedes GLA (facelift) has
been spied testing on the public roads in Germany, courtesy walkoART and Autoevolution.
Up front, the changes are new Multibeam LED
headlamps, upper grille and bumper with bigger pockets. At the sides, the only
notable change seems to be the new door mirror-integrated turn indicators,
while at the rear, tweaked tail lamps and a sportier bumper should be the
changes.
Inside, the 2017 Mercedes GLA (facelift) should
feature some aesthetic changes related to dashboard trim and seat upholstery
choices, and an updated COMAND infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and
Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility. A 360-degree surround-view
camera is also said to be coming with the MY2017 update.
The 2017 Mercedes GLA (facelift) should soldier on
with the current range of four-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, albeit with
revisions for power and efficiency, paired with 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT
dual-clutch automatic transmissions.
