Audi Q3 Black Edition (UK)
Audi Q3 facelift range will hit UK showrooms by the
end of 2016, with prices ranging from £ 26,600 to £ 36,945 as order books are
set to open on October 11th.
There are multiple exterior and interior
enhancements across the board, as well as new Sport, S line Edition and Black
Edition trim levels replacing the old SE, S line Navigation and S line Plus
specs.
In order to turn the entry-level SE spec into
'Sport', Audi added SD navigation as standard, along with larger front air
vents and a body-colored front diffuser. S line Navigation became S line
Edition by gaining cruise control and the Audi Parking System Plus while
adopting a new front-end look with more pronounced surrounds for the air inlets
and a new diamond-pattern mesh design.
The Q3 Black Edition is
undoubtedly the version that headlines Audi's Q3 range in the UK. It comes with
standard metallic pain, privacy glass from the B pillar rearwards and a Bose
sound system upgrade. Other features include piano black inlays for the
interior, 19" alloys for the exterior and a gloss black finish for the
single frame grille, roof rails, rear spoiler and tailpipes.
The standard equipment for the entire Q3
range has moved on to include Audi Music and Bluetooth interfaces, Audi drive
select adaptive dynamics system, sensor control for parking (rear only in the
Sport, front and rear in the S line Edition and Black Edition), automatic
lights & wipers, dual-zone climate control and a Concert audio system with
DAB radio linked to a 6.5" manually retractable color monitor.
Standard on the Sport versions are Xenon headlights
with LED daytime running lights and LED taillights, whereas S line Edition and
Black Edition specs get powered tailgate operation, all-weather LED headlights
and dynamic "scrolling" rear indicators.
Powering the updated Q3 range in the UK will be two
TDI diesel and two TFSI petrol units. The 150 PS 1.4-liter TFSI can propel the
front-wheel driven Q3 from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.9 seconds with the help
of the S tronic twin-clutch automatic gearbox while averaging as little as 5.5 l/100 km. Moving up in the range we have the 2.0-liter TFSI engine with
180 PS, which can be spec'd with either manual or S tronic transmissions and
works with quattro all-wheel drive as well.
The two four-cylinder 2.0-liter TDI diesels have 150
PS and 184 PS respectively, with the former having the potential to return up
to 4.5 l/100 km) on average, with a CO2 output of 117 g/km.
