Honda 300TT Racer Concept
The Honda 300 TT Racer Concept was introduced at the
2016 Bangkok International Motor Show in March, previewing a retro cafe racer
motorcycle. Now, according to MoreBikes, the company has filed a patent for
this concept.
The patent application could be simply for
protecting the concept’s design and does not confirm a production cafe racer
motorcycle.
The Honda 300 TT Racer Concept is built around the
same frame as the Honda CBR300R and Honda CB300F, and also shares the 286 cc
single-cylinder engine with the 300 series motorcycles. It however uses a
completely new subframe to support its single-seat seating configuration and
exceptionally shorter rear-end.
The motorcycle in the patent image doesn’t seem a
lot different from the one revealed as a concept in Thailand. However, on a
closer look, the instrument panel, rear hugger and rear disc brake appear
different, and the tail seems to have been extended further back.
