Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT Edition
The Kawasaki Ninja 300 is generally considered as
one of the best entry-level performance bikes for novice riders, who will later
graduate to 600-800 cc motorcycles and eventually to litre-class bikes. Now Kawasaki has made the bike even more
desirable by slyly tweaking the special edition colours and slapping some
Kawasaki Racing Team stickers.
The new 2017
Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT edition features black and green livery in place of the
erstwhile white and green paint job. The bike now also features ‘KRT’ edition
badges near the fuel cap and the bottom part of the fairing is now in black
again, instead of green. The same colour scheme is used by the Kawasaki factory
racing team in the World Superbike Championship.
The 2016 Kawasaki Ninja 300 KRT edition is equipped
with a liquid-cooled 296 cc parallel-twin engine which belts out 39 PS of power
and 27 Nm of torque. The bike also features racing inspired FCC clutch which
reduces lever effort by up to 25 percent and race-style ‘slipper’ function to
reduce rear-wheel ‘hop’ that can be associated with high-RPM downshifting. The
bike is fitted with a multifunction LCD display including a speedometer,
odometer, dual trip meters, fuel gauge and a digital clock.
Reports indicate that the new 2017 Kawasaki Ninja
300 is laden with sintered front brake-pads, which has led to a considerable
increase in the feedback from the brakes. The new KRT edition Ninja 300 is
priced the same as the special edition it replaces.
