MG GS (Phillipines)
Morris Garages or MG is beefing its Philippine
line-up with its first-ever SUV, the GS. Priced at just PHP 1,250,000, the MG GS
brings in British flavor in a segment normally dominated by the Japanese,
Korean, and American makes.
The MG GS has the ingredients that make for a
fun-to-drive experience. It starts with the MGE 1.5-liter direct-injection
turbocharged gasoline engine developing 166 horsepower at 5,600 rpm and 250 Nm
from 1,700 to 4,400 rpm. This is then mated to a TST 7-speed dual-clutch
transmission allowing the MG GS to reach a top speed of 190 km/h while
returning up to 12.98 km/L.
Equipped with the Intelligent All-Wheel Drive
system, the MG GS can easily handle any kind of weather or road conditions. It
can adjust torque distribution quickly—as little as just 0.1 seconds.
The MG GS
takes on the “Faceted Flow” body design. Styled at the brand’s UK design
center, the MG GS is definitely visually stunning. The SHARD protection-type
HID headlamps then complete the exterior details.
Inside, the MG GS is built for all the lives you lead
with a roomy and versatile interior and features such as an electric sun roof,
touch screen with hands-free mobile sync technology, reverse parking camera and
sensors, rain-sensing wipers, and many more. Even audiophiles will be impressed
with the Akramys 3D Surround Sound speaker system.
For safety, it has a “Fifteen-in-One Flagship Level
Projection” that include standard features such as a ultra high-tensile steel
body, Hill-start Assist System (HAS), Hill Descent Control (HDC), Active
Anti-rolling Program (ARP), and many more.
