New Bajaj V15 (New Colour)


Bajaj V15 is a unique offering in the commuter bike segment. The motorcycle stands apart from the rest thanks to the unique insignia on its fuel tank which is made from the scrapped steel of India’s first ever aircraft carrier and the hero of 1971 Indo-Pak war – INS Vikrant.

Being presented in Heroic Red, Pearl White, Ebony Black and now a new Navy Blue colour, Bajaj V carries forward the legacy of over 40,000 war heroes. It is powered by a 149.5 cc engine mated to a 5-speed gearbox.

Sporting a tank of 13 liter capacity, it boasts of metal from the aircraft carrier INS Vikrant that served in the 1971 Indo-Pak war. This highly decorated service vessel what decommissioned in 1997 following which it served as a Naval Museum. With the Indian Navy no longer able to keep it afloat, the vessel was dismantled and scrap metal was put up for sale. Bajaj Auto Limited procured this metal to use in the new 150cc commuter bike as a salute to patriotism.

On sale in India at INR 62,132 (ex-Delhi), this commuter bike pulls at the heartstrings of every buyer as a constant reminder of its historic past. It is noted for its outstanding styling with central set foot pedals, telescopic forks, and twin shock absorbers. It sports an analogue digital speedometer, LCD fuel indicator and LED tail lamp along with wide handlebars and removable rear cowl.
