New Volvo XC60 (Spyshot)
The current Volvo XC60 is due to
be replaced soon, with a second generation already in the pipeline.
If the most recent info from Autocar is correct,
then we should expect the 2018 Volvo XC60 sometime next year, with a similar
footprint as the current iteration and an exterior design inspired by the
larger XC90, highlighted by the signature headlights.
Its interior won't be that different to the one of
its larger sibling, either, with an infotainment system taking center stage of
the dashboard, flanked by the horizontal air vents, along with a digital
instrument cluster, which will replace the traditional dials, probably as an
option.
The upcoming Volvo XC60 will
benefit from the DNA of the XC90, S90 and V90, as it will be built on a smaller
version of the flexible SPA platform. This will open up the possibility to
numerous powertrains, including the brand's 2.0-liter petrol and diesel units,
likely joined by the T5 three-cylinder hybrid.
