Snake Motors K-77 223 Single Racer and K-16 Sports

With retro bikes being all the rage at the moment, it is not surprising to find a retro style model from every major manufacturer, such as the BMW Motorrad R nineT and the Ducati Scrambler. But these machines occupy the higher end of the spectrum.

Ever considered a retro bike in the quarter-litre class, or below? If so, Snake Motors has you covered, with the K-77 223 Single Racer and the K-16 Sports.

The full-fairing K-77, resembling a racetrack refugee from the 60’s, and the K-16, looking for all the world a board track racer straight out of 1920.

The K-16 Sports is a single-seat in board tracker style, with a 125 cc – or alternate 50 cc – single-cylinder air-cooled engine. Costing 350,000 yen ex-factory for the 125 cc K-16 Sports, there are three colours available – Navy, Gray and Brown.

On the sporty side is the K-77 223 Single Racer, which, as its name suggests, carries a 223 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that produces 16 PS at 7,500 rpm and 17 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm.

Riders can switch the K-77 between single- and dual-seat modes by removing the racing cowl. The K-77 rolls on 18-inch tyres – for that proper retro-handling feel – and costs 598,000 yen.
