Suzuki GSX-250R
The Suzuki GSX-250R is
now finally official. The new quarter-liter class motorcycle was unveiled
yesterday in Chongqing, China.
The Suzuki GSX-250R is inspired by the Suzuki
GSX-R1000. It measures 2,085 mm in length, 740 mm in width and 1,110 mm in
height, and has wheelbase of 1,430 mm. The seat height is measured at 780 mm.
The GSX-250R is powered by the 248 cc liquid-cooled,
twin-cylinder engine of the Inazuma. The parallel-twin engine has been tuned to
produce 24.66 hp at 8,000 rpm and 23.4 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, and
is linked to a 6-speed transmission.
The Suzuki GSX-250R weighs 178 kg and has a fuel
tank of 15 litre capacity. On a full tank, it can be ridden 480 km, and this
converts to a fuel economy of 32 km/l. The driver is aided with a fully digital
instrument panel and the stopping power comes from a 290 mm disc brake at the
front and a 240 mm disc brake at the rear.
The Suzuki GSX-250R will be manufactured by the
Changzhou Haojue Suzuki Motorcycle company. Six colour schemes will be
available, and the local media reports say that the bike will go on sale in
China in November 2016.
