1982 Toyota FJ43 by FJ Company (2016 SEMA)

It's a 1982 FJ43 that's been restored and modified by the folks over at The FJ Company, the same that brought us that brown one and the two-tone teal wagon before it. This example they call the Aspen Project apparently commissioned by a customer in the swanky Colorado resort destination.

It's been brought up to factory-fresh condition, and then some. It underwent a full frame-off restoration, and slipped in some major modifications in the process – not the least of which hides under the hood.

There you'll find the 4.5-liter inline-six from a modern Land Cruiser – fuel-injected, mated to a five-speed manual and rated at 210 horsepower. The power steering, brakes, and HVAC system were all brought up to spec as well, joined by a custom soft top and roll cage, Recaro buckets, Warn winch, PIAA auxiliary lighting.
