2016 Mitsubishi Montero
Mitsubishi has relaunched the Mitsubishi Montero in
India, expanding its product line-up to two models. The 2016 Mitsubishi Montero
is available only in the 5-door version and only in one trim level – GLS, at a
price of INR 67.88 lakh (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The 2016 Mitsubishi Montero measures 4,900 mm in
length, 1,875 mm in width and 1,870 mm in height (1,900 mm with roof rails),
and has a wheelbase of 2780 mm and a ground clearance of 235 mm. The flagship
SUV offers seating for seven persons.
Four engines are available in the Mitsubishi
Montero, but only one is brought to India – the 3.2-litre turbocharged
four-cylinder diesel engine that delivers 192 PS at 3,800 rpm and 441
Nm of torque at 2,000 rpm. Power is sent to the wheels via the INVECS-II
5-speed automatic transmission and distributed via the Super Select 4WD II
four-wheel drive system.
Key features of the 2016 Mitsubishi Montero are, LED
daytime running lights, HID headlamps, tailgate spoiler, power tilt and sliding
sunroof, 10-way power adjustable driver seat, power adjustable front passenger,
driver’s and front passenger’s seat heater, 860-watt Rockford Acoustic design
premium sound system with 7 speakers, 4 tweeters and 1 subwoofer, ABS with EBD,
dual-front airbags and side and curtain airbags.
