2017 Yamaha R25 (render)

Renderings and information shared by MotoBlast reveal that the 2017 Yamaha R25 might gain upside down front forks. In fact, if rumours are to be believed, the forks will have a bigger diameter than the competition. To give you a better picture, the Kawasaki Ninja 250 gets 37 mm right side down telescopic forks. The Honda CBR 250RR gets 37 mm upside down forks sourced from Showa.

The Yamaha R25’s 249 cc in-line twin cylinder mill churns out 36 PS of maximum power at 12,000 rpm and 22.6 Nm of peak torque at 10,000 rpm. Mechanicals can be expected to be the same, as Indonesian reports say the MY2017 will not be a major update. Going by the present trend, the bike may also gain LED headlamps with a sharper console, and if the R25 gets an update in 2017, the changes can also trickle into to the Yamaha R3.
