2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class (spy shot)
Mercedes-Benz is working on a facelift version of
the C-Class luxury sedan. A test mule of the car has been spied in Germany,
which hints mild design tweaks to be available in the luxury sedan. It is expected to come more stylish and sharper compared to the
outgoing model, while the basic silhouette of the car remains same.
The 2018 Mercedes-Benz C-Class comes with revised
LED headlamps, which take inspiration from the E-Class sedan. The front bumper is also likely to come revised, incorporating new air intakes.
The spyshots show chrome embellishment on the side skirts, which enhances the
luxury sedan’s style quotient further.
The side profile of the sedan also boasts chrome
trim around the glass area. While the front and side profile of the car has
received mild updates, the rear fascia remains same like the current model. It
sports wrap around taillights with LED inserts, a sleek chrome bar above the
registration enclosure and slanted dual exhausts with chrome garnishing.
The spyshots don’t reveal any detail of the interior
of upcoming C-Class sedan, but expect it to feature a new touchscreen
infotainment system. It could get a dual screen set-up borrowed from its bigger
sibling E-Class. Apart from that, the seat and upholstery materials are likely
to get improved to offer more luxurious experience. Also, new buttons and leather
trims are expected to be introduced.
While the exterior and interior of the 2018
Mercedes-Benz C-Class come revised, the powertrain options could get some
update as well. The sedan could get a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine
from the E-Class, which could replace the 2.1-litre unit in the current model.
The turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine under the hood of the outgoing
model is likely to be continued. Transmission options are also expected to be
unchanged.
