Abarth Tributo XSR Concept
Unveiled at the 2016 EICMA, the Abarth
Tributo XSR has been created to celebrate the collaboration between the Italian
company and Yamaha, which has led to the development of the of a limited
edition Yamaha XSR 900 Abarth, which features an 850cc engine, carbon bodywork,
Akrapovic titanium exhaust system, and an exclusive Abarth color scheme.
The motorcycle is limited to just 695 units, and
those who want to be among the first to own it are advised to set their alarms
for 14:00 CET (8 AM EST), on January 17, 2017, when the online registration
system goes live. Moreover, the first 95 customers of the special Yamaha bike
will be able to register their online order and will be subsequently invited to
join an exclusive VIP Abarth Experience. After these 95 units will be sold, the
remaining 600 will be made available through Yahama's dealers, from April, next
year.
As for the four-wheeled concept, it sports a similar
grey livery with red finishing, in tone with the Japanese motorcycle, and
boasts various carbon fiber components. Additionally, the concept also features
an Akrapovic ultra-light exhaust and carries the XSR logo on the tailgate,
which is said to "seal the links between the two brands".
