Bentley Mulsanne Speed bespoke by Mulliner
When you customize high-end watches for a living,
you're not going to be caught driving around in just any showroom-stock
automobile. Hence this bespoke Bentley created for George Bamford.
For those who aren't horological fanatics, George
Bamford is heir to the JCB tractor fortune, and the man behind the Bamford
Watch Department – a company best known for personalizing Rolexes, particularly
in blacked-out finishes.
To match Bamford's signature style, Bentley's
Mulliner division crafted this one-of-a-kind Mulsanne Speed. The bodywork is
painted Beluga black, with blacked-out 21-inch Mulliner Driving Specification
wheels and all the brightwork treated with a Physical Vapor Deposition process
to black it out as well.
The treatment continues inside, where the cabin is
swathed in black leather, but with a pop of color, as the stitching, piping,
and glovebox lining are all done in bright neon blue. There's even a custom
carbon-fiber watch case mounted between the rear seats, which Bamford can take
with him when showing off his company's wares.
