BMW i8 Sydney Police Car
Australia's New South Wales police department has added a BMW i8 to
its fleet. The hybrid sports car will be used by the Rose Bay
Local Area Command and it won't act as a pursuit car.
Instead, it will be used throughout the community to break down barriers
between locals and the police force.
While it won't be chasing after criminals, it
certainly looks the part thanks to the police livery that includes a blue and
white chequered pattern, bright yellow highlights, police decals and the
force's emblem on the roof. The vehicle was handed over to the police
department by BMW's main Sydney dealership.
