Buick Avista Concept
More than 10 months after we've caught an initial
glimpse of the Buick Avista in Detroit, the study has been taken to the 2016 LA
Auto Show, for a local premiere.
The design remains untouched, but since it has
sparked several debates, most of which revolved on a possible production model
that doesn’t seem to be anywhere in sight, the show car couldn’t have gone by
unnoticed from the large automotive event that is taking place in the City of
Angels.
Besides its neck-twisting design, the study promises
to improve the driving experience by putting the Magnetic Ride Control to the
test, which "delivers more precise body motion control". At its
heart, there is a 3.0-liter, twin-turbo V6 engine, which is said to be similar
to the one used on the latest LaCrosse. The unit relies on an 8-speed automatic
transmission to push 400 horsepower to the rear wheels.
