New Hyundai Creta (facelift)

The Brazilian-spec Hyundai Creta has been officially unveiled at the 2016 Sao Paulo Auto Show. Live images from CARPLACE provide the first close look at its new looks.

The Brazilian-spec Hyundai Creta gets a different front fascia with new grille design, tweaked headlamps which feature LED daytime running lights inside, restyled central air intake and bumper and horizontal fog lamps. At the rear, this version stands out with distinctive tail lights and bumper.

Inside, the climate control unit features a different colour backlight. The infotainment system offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration compatibility.

The Hyundai Creta will be offered with two engines in Brazil – a 1.6-litre flex-fuel engine that produces 130 hp at 6,300 rpm and 162 Nm of torque at 4,850 rpm and a 2.0-litre flex-fuel engine that develops 166 hp at 6,200 rpm and 201 Nm of torque at 4,700 rpm. That 1.6-litre engine will be available manual and automatic transmissions, while the 2.0-litre engine will be linked to an automatic transmission as standard.

The Brazilian-spec Hyundai Creta is built in Piracicaba, Sao Paulo alongside the Hyundai HB20 and will go on sale in January 2017.
