Toyota Kirloskar Motor has launched the new Toyota
Fortuner for sale in India, over six months after Toyota
Innova Crysta arrived in showrooms.

Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi) for the new Toyota Fortuner.
The Fortuner diesel variant is powered by a 2.8L GD
four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that produces 174 hp and 450 Nm of torque,
while the petrol variant packs a 2.7L dual VVT-i four-cylinder engine with 164
hp and 245 Nm of torque. The India-spec Fortuner enjoys the distinction of
being the only SUV in its class to offer a petrol option.
Transmission options for both variants include a
6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox, while a 4WD drivetrain is
exclusive to the diesel-powered model.
The revolutionary design features a new face that
incorporates dual LED headlights with LED daytime running lamps, bold dual slat
grille with chrome garnish and a sculpted bumper with round foglamps and chrome
embellishers. It also gets LED taillights, rear spoiler, shark fin antenna,
ORVM-integrated turn signals and an electric tailgate.
Inside, the Fortuner comes with a dark brown
interior contrasted by silver and wood plastic trims. It come equipped with
A-TRC Traction Control (TRC) system, 7 SRS airbags, Down Hill Assist Control
(DAC) system, electrically adjustable driver’s seat, cruise control, T-Connect
infotainment system with satellite navigation and reversing camera, leather
upholstery, Start/Stop button, PWR/ECO driving modes, and automatic climate
control.
