New VW Gol GT Concept

The Gol GT Concept is said to have been created to strengthen the emotional relationship customers share with the brand's sportier models.

It looks like a proper Volkswagen GT model, thanks to the aero mods combined with a unique 'Gray Volcano' metallic color, itself highlighted by the 'Lava Red' elements found all over the exterior.

Up front we have a typical VW grille and an imposing bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights and air vents. The headlights are also full-LED, though by moving further along the side and to the rear of the car we notice the 18" 'Serron' diamond wheels and the darkened taillights.

Inside, the Gol GT Concept comes with shell-type seats, a sports steering wheel, redesigned door panels, uniquely designed air vents and door handles, aluminum pedals and plenty of 'GT' logos to go around. The door panels feature horizontal trim on the speaker and tweeter screens in reference to the first Gol GT model.

VW made no word of what powers the concept, but the company's 125-horsepower 1.0 TSI could be a candidate if the Germans decide to build the small sports hatch.
