Skoda Kodiaq SportLine
Skoda Kodiaq
reports to put finger at a hotter version next year. Dubbed the SportLine and it will follow hot on the heels of the Superb SportLine in a more
aggressive tone, which will bring it close to Volkswagen's Tiguan R-Line.
Setting it apart from the usual S, SE, SE L, and
Edition trims will be a series of visual revisions that will include beefier
bumpers and larger wheels, along with other tweaks and probably a reduced
ground height, considering that the sedan sits 15 mm closer to the road in the
range-topping flavor.
As far as power goes, it's uncertain whether Kodiaq will use the same 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol unit from the Superb
SportLine, which is good for 280 PS, or whether they will stick to an
initial announcement that referred to a twin-turbo diesel lump with as much as
240 PS 'borrowed' from the Euro-spec Passat.
It shouldn’t take long for Skoda to reveal the full
details on such a model though, as it's expected to celebrate its world debut
next March at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.
