SpeedKore Performance Group line-up in 2016 SEMA
Among the most intriguing cars currently on display
at SEMA 2016 are four carbon fiber-clad muscle cars built by the SpeedKore
Performance Group.
The company has created a 2017 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat,
2017 Ford Mustang GT Fastback, 1970 Plymouth Cuda and 1970 Dodge Charger, all
adorned with exposed carbon fiber panels and unlike anything else at the show.
The most impressive of the quartet is the
2017 Mustang which was awarded the Best Of Show award for outstanding
achievement in design by Ford itself. Making this Mustang such a head-turner is
the combination of normal carbon fiber across most of the exterior and then
blue tinted carbon fiber where the painted racing stripes would usually sit.
The car also includes a set of tightly-spoked
aftermarket wheels and benefits from a significant drop in ride height.
As for the firm's Hellcat, it too is bathed in
carbon fiber but rather than combining standard carbon with colored carbon,
includes both gloss and matte finishes. Oh, it has also been bumped up to 1,100
hp.
SpeedKore's 1970 Dodge Charger then goes for an all
gloss carbon fiber look and is being displayed at the Mercury Racing Booth.
The Plymouth Cuda which unlike the others, isn't
exclusively carbon fiber. Instead, most of its exterior is painted blue, then
offset with a carbon fiber hood.
