Tomahawk Electric
Supercar
This Canadian company,
based in Quebec City, will use a U.S. equity crowdfunding platform
(StartEngine) to raise money for its electric model in hopes of selling it in
2017.
The Tomahawk EV will be
manufactured in North America, and will include an all-aluminum exterior, and
scissor doors that can “move at a 95 degree angle.” The model
also features a panoramic sunroof, 360-degree cameras, navigation, wireless
connectivity and more. For comfort and ease-of-mind, hands-free voice-activated
commands, advanced collision warnings, and an onboard computer are also part of
the deal.
The
supercar is capable of accelerating from zero-to-60 miles per hour in 3 seconds
and reaching a maximum speed of 160 mph. The car also gets a 300-mile range,
and uses two electric motors (one for the front, and one for the rear) and a
single-speed transmission. It also features all-wheel drive, an adjustable air suspension
for ride height, an aluminum sport double wishbone suspension (front and rear),
and a flat undercarriage (perhaps for battery arrangement). Not all of the
vehicle’s specifications have been revealed, but the automaker has included
enough information to get enthusiasts excited about the 2017 launch.
The company is aiming to
produce 1,500 units per year of its Tomahawk electric supercar, said
StartEngine. The beast will be sold mainly in the U.S., Europe, and China, and
will be priced from about US$ 110,000.
