China-based tuner Aspec has given the Volkswagen
Scirocco R a bit of a widened stance and a power upgrade. Called the
Performance Project Volkswagen 430R (PPV430R), the package is now available.
Exterior enhancements include a full carbon-fibre
wide body aerodynamic kit that comprises of a one-piece front grille, a vented
bonnet, new encasings for the side mirrors, elaborate side skirts, along with
front and rear wide-body fenders and a roof spoiler.
It sits on a set of 19-inch Aspec MF75 monolithic
forged wheels, while the brakes have been upgraded to the Aspec-alcon brake kit
featuring six-piston front calipers with Pagid brake pads and steel tubing.
Power has also been uprated to 430 hp (from 255 PS)
with an upgrade kit, but Aspec has not detailed its list of engine
modifications. That said, the PPV430R does get an Aspec iDEAS intelligent valve
exhaust system.
