2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F
Bajaj Auto has formally launched
the BSIV complaint 2017 Bajaj Pulsar 220F. Introduced first in July 2007 with a
fuel injected mill, the Bajaj Pulsar 220F has gone through several changes but
the overall design has remained the same, and continues to be so.
The bike gets a new backlit
colour for the instrumentation cluster moving away from the traditional amber
to cool blue. The mix of analogue tachometer and digital speedometer continues
to do duty. The exhaust canister has been given a matte black finish. Bajaj
claims that the contoured seats have been made from premium material providing
additional comfort and stability to the rider and pillion claimed to have
better cushioning.
The current BSIII compliant engine has been
upgraded to meet BSIV emission norms, but without changes to the specification.
Displacing 220 cc, the oil-cooled, single cylinder mill is coupled to a 5-speed
gearbox and is capable of producing 21.05 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and
19.12 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.
The Bajaj Pulsar 220F gets a 260
mm disc brake in the front and a 230 mm disc in the rear. With a 15-litre fuel
tank, the bike has a kerb weight of 150 kg. The price tag of the Bajaj Pulsar
220F has been raised by INR 2,274 to INR 91,201 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
