2017 Mercedes CLA
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the 2017 Mercedes
CLA (facelift) on November 30. It retains the outgoing model’s variant lineup:
CLA 200 d Style, CLA 200 Sport, CLA 200 d Sport, and prices range between INR
31.4 – 34.68 Lakhs (ex-showroom Mumbai).
The exterior changes in the new CLA are basically
blink-and-you-miss-it. It features redesigned headlamps with LED illumination,
LED taillamps, slightly-revised front bumper with chrome garnish, redesigned
exhaust tips, as well as the option of a new Cavansite Blue exterior colour
option.
Inside, Merc’s smallest sedan gets a larger 8.0-inch
freestanding display running the updated COMAND infotainment system with Apple
CarPlay and Android Auto, new trim and colour combinations, a redesigned
instrument cluster and Mercedes Dynamic Select with options between ECO,
Comfort, Sport and Individual.
The CLA 200 petrol variant packs a 2.0-litre 4-cyl
turbocharged engine that churns out 183 hp and 300 Nm, while the CLA 200 d is
powered a 2.0-litre turbodiesel engine with 136 hp and 300 Nm of torque. Both
variants come with a 7-speed DCT unit that sends power to the front wheels.
