2018 Chevrolet Equinox 1.5L Turbo


Chevrolet has announced pricing details for the 2018 Equinox confirming that the model will start at US$ 24,475 in the United States and from CA$ 26,995 in Canada.

Although the company hasn’t announced the prices of all available variants, the US$ 24,475 / CA$ 26,995 model will come fitted with the entry-level 1.5-liter turbo petrol engine delivering 170 hp and 275 Nm of torque, returning a GM-estimated 31 mph (7.6 l/100 km).


Other engines in the 2018 Equinox range include a 2.0-liter turbo with 252 hp and 353 Nm and a 1.6-liter turbo diesel four-cylinder rated at 136 hp and 320 Nm of torque. At launch, the Equinox will be offered in L, LS, LT and Premier trim levels as well as in front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive configurations.

The new Equinox will directly tackle the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. By comparison, in the US, the 2017 RAV4 sets customers back a minimum of US$ 24,910 and rising to US$ 34,750 for the highest-spec model available. The CR-V is also similarly priced, starting at US$ 23,845.


Following its U.S. introduction, the model will be rolled out to 115 other global markets in late 2017.
