2018 Mercedes AMG GLC 63 Coupe (spy shot)
This is first sighting of the upcoming Mercedes
AMG GLC 63 Coupe, being tested in northern
Sweden.
It’s clear that this
prototype features a front grille that looks exactly the same with the one in
the AMG GT-R model. Combine this with a pair of way more aggressive front and
rear bumpers and we can already imagine how intimidating the final car will be
on the road.
The chassis will be upgraded accordingly, featuring
the necessary huge brakes, sportier suspension and the obligatory quad exhaust
pipes that are known to produce one of the most satisfying soundtracks known to
man.
Under the bonnet will of course live AMG’s
twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 which powers almost every AMG model in the current
range. Mercedes will offer two power outputs, just like the C63 model, with the
‘base’ model to pack 469 hp and a more powerful S variant with an output of
503 hp. Both versions will send their power to all four wheels as standard.
Mercedes is expected to launch the GLC 63 Coupe
sometime in the second half of 2017.
