Big Dog Motorcycle K9 Red Chopper
The American-based Big Dog
Motorcycle has launched it K9 Red Chopper motorcycle in India with a massive
price tag of Rs 59 lakh ex-showroom (Delhi).
The K9 Red Chopper is powered by
a 1,807 cc 45-degree overhead valve V-twin motor from S&S Super Slider which
is mated with Jim's 6-speed gearbox. The front suspension is a 41 mm telescopic
fork which emanates the custom-made, chopper feel in the motorcycle and the
seat height at 244 mm.
A 4-piston differential bore
single disc brake at the front and a 4-piston standard bore single disc brake
at rear brings the chopper to a standstill, both sourced from Performance
Machine. As for the tyres, the front is an MH90-21 56V and the rear is a big
250/40VR18 (81V) have been sourced from COBRA. Big Dog Motorcycle specialises
on high-performance, on-road cruisers and choppers.
The K9 Red Chopper
is ‘One of One' built under the patronage of Kansas Motor Works (KMW) is now
known as "BigDogIsBack.com". Each of the motorcycles can be
customised further as per the customer's need which includes exotic seats,
sissy bars, drag pipes, wider tyres, and stator as well as rotor kits. The
company says the chopper is street-legal.
