BMW 100th
Celebration Edition line-up (Japan)
As it is
blowing 100 candles this year, BMW continues to celebrate with more Japan-only
anniversary editions.
New to the
lineup is the 3-Series Celebration Edition Style Edge, offered in both sedan
and Touring guises, equipped with exclusive kidney grille and alloy wheels that
are joined by special interior trim and a variety of sporty equipment. Powered
by "a new generation of clean diesel engines", it will be limited to
just 400 units, nationwide, each priced at 5.77 million yen.
Joining the
special 3-Series family is yet another model, dubbed BMW 330s Celebration
Edition, available in Tanzanite Blue solely and sitting on 19-inch BMW
Individual wheels. Inside, it benefits from Opal White-finished Merino leather,
piano black trim, leather-wrapped dashboard, Harman Kardon audio system head-up
display and an individually numbered plaque, stating that only 100 cars will be
produced. Prices for this model start at 6.78 million yen.
The
front-wheel drive 2-Series Active Tourer has gained a Celebration Edition too,
the Fashionista, which is only available as a 218i, powered by a 1.5-liter
three-banger, with 136 HP, mated to a six-speed automatic gearbox. Customers
will get to choose between three exterior colors for the MPV that rides on
17-inch rims and comes with beige synthetic leather upholstery, heated front
seats, automatic air-con, parking sensors, reverse camera and
handsfree-operated tailgate. The special 2-Series will be produced in 400 units
and will set you back for 3.98 million yen.
BMW's
3-Series Style Edge, 330s and 2-Series Active Tourer Fashionista join the
5-Series Baron, M6 Celebration, 7-Series Centennial, i3 Carbonight and i8
Protonic Red.
