Chevrolet already prepares the first restyling of Spin. The model that will
gain lines inspired by the new visual identity of the brand will reach the
market in the second half of 2017, already as a model 2018.
The changes will be concentrated on the front and
rear. In the front, they change hood, bumper and headlights that are more
extended as those of the new Cobalt. The grid will be bi-started as in the
brothers Cobalt, Onix, Prisma, Cruze and Tracker. Whoever saw the car said that
our projection of the front looks very close to the model that will win the
streets.
The restyling of Spin was anticipated by Autos
Secrets in July 2016. The MPV will close the visual changes of the models built
on the GSV platform. Starting in 2018, the new generations of brand models will
be built on the Global Emerging Market (GEM) platform.
The rear also changes, but since the information was
not enough for a projection, we chose not to do so that we did not risk being
out of touch. However, some details have already been revealed in our report.
The huge back cover always felt like something was missing. This will be solved
with the new lanterns that will invade the play. The changes in the rear will be the new
lanteras, trunk lid and the bumper that will have new design and will continue
to house the nameplate.
In terms of engine, Spin 2018 will keep the current
1.8 renewed this year. With the changes, the propellant 1.8 fueled with
gasoline had its power maintained in 106 Hp, already the torque had gained of
0,4 kgfm getting with 16,8 kgfm. The power gain was with ethanol, which gained
3 Hp to have final power of 111 Hp, torque went from 17.1 kgfm to 17.7 kgfm. Engine
upgrades include new pistons and lighter connecting rods, low friction rings,
higher speed electronic center of processing and lubricants less viscous.
