Hyundai Tucson Diesel (South Africa)
Hyundai Automotive South Africa has added a pair of
turbodiesel derivatives to its local Tucson range, expanding the line-up to
seven variants.
The first turbodiesel is powered by a new 1,7-litre,
Euro 6 engine worth 116 Hp and 280 Nm (the latter between 1250 and 2750
rpm). This front-wheel drive model features a six-speed manual gearbox and
the Executive specification level. Claimed fuel consumption comes in at 6,8
L/100 km, while the service intervals are as long as 30,000 km.
The second oil-burner employs a 2,0-litre, Euro 2
mill making 178 Hp and 400 Nm (between 1750 and 2750 rpm). A
six-speed automatic transmission delivers power to the front wheels, while the
posher Elite trim comes standard.
