Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG by VATH

There was a time, when AMG models wore the 'Benz' moniker too, and this is when the SL 65 was born.

In standard form, its 6.0-liter bi-turbo V12 engine is capable of pushing out 630 PS and 1,000 Nm of torque, but that wasn't enough for VATH, which added the V65 tuning kit, lifting output to 700 PS and 1,148 Nm.

The horsepower number matches that of a Lamborghini Aventador, while the torque is significantly more than the italian supercar's 690 Nm. The tuner doesn’t say how much the roadster needs to cover the 0 to 100 km/h sprint, but it should be faster than the standard model's 4.0 seconds. Vath have lifted the top speed limiter as well, stating that it will eventually reach 325 km/h.

These upgrades stack up to € 6,980, plus € 650 installation, and add up to some chassis modifications - € 1,450 plus € 450 installation, and an aftermarket exhaust, which costs € 3,890, not counting in the same € 450 installation fee.

VATH charges € 250 to install the 3-piece forged rims, 10.0x20- and 12.0x20-inch, wrapped in 265/30 and 305/25 front-to-rear tires, which will set you back for another € 7,800. All prices are for the German market and include tax.
