Toyota Avanza Transmover
Toyota Avanza Transmover is a new Toyota weapon in Indonesia. Coming as the most cheap Avanza with price of Rp. 143
million (off the road). Transmover marketed for the commercial segment (taxi) with
downscale specifications, both exterior and interior from reguler Avanza.
According to Product General Manager
TAM, Bansar Maduma, the Transmover features are made differently than the
Avanza. "We see the daily operation of taxi-driver as customers. We see
economic value. So we try to downspec which is suitable for the taxi
market,"
Exterior wise, there is black radiator
grill. The use of color as the material, deliberately that in case of collision
its easier to repaint. There are other differences in the rearview mirror. The
arrangement is still manual. In addition, the A-pillar trim with no black out
window.
Avanza Transmover using 14” tin
rims in silver color. The tire dimension is 185/70/14. There is a center cap
even without mud guard. To become a key differentiator, there’s Transmover emblem
behind.
Inside, Transmover comes without
audio and provides only two speakers. Door trim without a fabric material,
while the material of the seat fabric and vinyl materials. The first row seats
without a back pokcet.
Toyota just only prepare
Transmover with the manual transmission variant. "But it could well if
there is a bespoke automatic transmission. Yet the price could go up about Rp.
7 million," he said.
