Prices for the new Honda Fireblade range have been
revealed ahead of the model’s press launch this weekend. The base model will
cost £ 15,225 on the road while the SP version will be £ 19,125. The cost of the
top-spec SP2 version (pictured) has not yet been confirmed but leaked prices on
US dealer websites indicate it will be around £ 22,000.
The Fireblade SP2 could be set to become the most
expensive machine in its class, with Kawasaki’s ZX-10RR Performance edition coming
in at £ 16,949. It's a significant step up from the 2016 Blade, which can still
be picked up with a list price of £ 12,799 for the base edition or £ 14,499 for
the SP. The price of the 2017 Suzuki GSX-R1000 has yet to be confirmed and
BMW’s HP4 Race could change everything when it arrives later this year.
