The 2017 Hyundai Grand i10 have started arriving at Hyundai dealerships across India, suggesting that market launch is imminent. A Team-BHP reader has acquired images of the Grand i10 diesel variant, offering a first look at the exterior changes.

It is expected to be priced between INR 4.58 Lakhs – INR 7.32 Lakhs (Ex-Showroom), although Hyundai India is yet to share the official price or a launch date. They seem to have dropped the pricing of the base Era petrol variant by around INR 32,000, while some variants get a price hike.

The 2017 Grand i10 borrows most of the changes introduced in the Euro-spec Hyundai i10 facelift, which debuted at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. The model – based on the Sportz(O) grade – features a ‘Cascading’ hexagonal grille, boomerang fog lamp enclosures with chrome garnish, while the rear has a redesigned bumper with round reflectors.

Inside, the Sportz(O) variant comes with what appears to be a 5-inch touchscreen infotainment system, while the Asta gets a new 7-inch system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The latter will also get the Hyundai Xcent’s automatic climate control exclusively.

The model spied bears a ‘1.2D’ badge, confirming reports that the 2017 Grand i10 will debut the 1.2L 3-cyl turbodiesel engine. HMIL is yet to disclose the figures, but expect it to be more powerful and fuel efficient than the Grand i10 1.1 diesel.
