Toyota has launched the 2017 Toyota Etios
(Facelift) in Brazil, featuring the bumpers and styling changes previously
exclusive to the Etios Platinum. The new Etios ranges between R$ 45,990 – R$
68,390. Note that the Etios Cross does not receive the cosmetic facelift.
Like the Etios Platinum, the new Etios and Etios
sedan feature a V-shaped grille with black inserts and body-colored accents, a
sporty bumper with larger intakes, round foglamps and a faux silver bumper garnish.
It gets the same 15-inch alloy wheels, side skirts (XLS only), chrome garnish
on the boot lid/tailgate and a sportier rear bumper.
Inside, the Etios duo comes with an all black
dashboard adorned with piano black trim and chrome-ringed HVAC vents, a
multifunction steering wheel design with buttons and a Prius-inspired digital
instrument cluster. Other new features include cruise control, ISOFIX child
seat mounts and head restraint and three-point seatbelt for the middle seat
passenger.
The engine lineup includes the same 1.3L and 1.5L
Dual VVT-i flex-fuel engines. Both engines come equipped with a 6-speed manual
transmission as standard, while a new 4-speed automatic transmission is
standard in Ready, XLS, Cross and Platinum grades.
