The biennial event in
2016 saw Hero bring out the Hero Xtreme 200S. The sports bike is expected to be
their next high displacement launch.
The Hero Xtreme 200S will be Hero’s first ever 200
cc bike which will go up against the Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, TVS Apache RTR 200 and
the newly launched Yamaha FZ 25.
The Hero Xtreme 200S is powered by an air-cooled,
single cylinder mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. The engine is capable of
producing 18.6 PS of maximum power at 8,500 rpm and 17.2 Nm of peak torque at
6,000 rpm. The naked street motorcycle gets disc brakes all around with ABS, a
diamond type frame, rear mono shock and LED lights.
The Hero Xtreme 200S is expected to launch in the
second half of 2017.
