Bajaj Pulsar
RS200 gets a makeover which includes cosmetic as well as minute mechanical
upgrades. The engine is now BSIV compliant, an emission norm which all
manufacturers will have to comply to by April 1, 2017.
At the heart of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is the same
199.5 cc mill which does duty in the new Bajaj Pulsar 200NS, but with fuel
injection. Coupled to a 6-speed gearbox the engine is expected to produce the
same 24.5 PS of maximum power at 9,750 rpm and 18.6 Nm of peak torque at 8,000
rpm.
The Bajaj Pulsar 200RS is suspended over telescopic
forks up front and a mono shock in the rear. Disc brakes are present both in
the front (300 mm) and rear (230 mm). A single-channel ABS variant is also
offered which is present only in the front wheel unlike the Dominar 400 which
gets a dual channel ABS.
The bike also gets a perimeter frame and twin
projector headlamps. The 2017 Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is available in two new paint
schemes, Racing Blue and Graphite Black. The price has increased by INR 653 of both the
trims. The non-ABS version of the Bajaj Pulsar RS200 is priced at INR 121,881
and INR 133,883 for the ABS trim (both prices ex-showroom, Delhi).
