For a first look, the semi-faired Yamaha Fazer 25 (2017 Yamaha Fazer 250) has been rendered by design specialist Shoeb Kalania.

The Fazer 250 will be the next logical step while not officially confirming the faired Yamaha Fazer 25. An exact timeline is not available as of now, but the Yamaha FZ 25 in the form of a Fazer can be expected next year.

The powertrain of the motorcycle will be the same 249 cc single cylinder, SOHC, 2 valve mill coupled to a 5-speed gearbox. An extra cog for highway cruising would be a welcome change, but that is unlikely to happen due to the cost factor. The engine is capable of producing 20.9 PS of maximum power at 8,000 rpm and 20 Nm of peak torque at 6,000 rpm.

The naked Roadster tips the scales at 148 kg (wet) and the semi-faired motorcycle can be expected to be a few kilos heavier from the new fairing and headlamp cowl. The headlamp itself could be a dual unit going by their tradition.

Expect the Yamaha Fazer 25 to be a few thousand rupees more expensive than the Yamaha FZ 25, which carries a price tag of INR 119,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
