Citroen Australia has confirmed the C4 Cactus petrol
automatic model will be available locally in the second half of 2017, though
pricing is yet to be revealed.
If the recently-launched 2017 Peugeot
2008 range is any indication, this could also spell the end of the
diesel-powered Cactus equipped with the six-speed automated manual
transmission, though this hasn’t been confirmed.
The new six-speed automatic (EAT6) gearbox will be
mated to a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine, producing 110 Hp of power and 205 Nm of torque, the same engine fitted to the petrol five-speed
manual model. Fuel use is expected to be claimed at 5.1 litres per 100
kilometres, and the tiny turbo triple has engine stop-start to help it achieve
that fuel use.
