Tata had showcased the production-spec Tata Nexon
SUV at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. Dubbed as the ‘Geneva Edition’, its
finished in a metallic red exterior color with white accents.
The Nexon SUV will launch in India in the second
half of this year. Its Tata’s first ever sub-4m SUV to hit the market, which
will rival the Maruti Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Mahindra TUV300. Prices
are expected to range between INR 7.0 Lakhs – 9.5 Lakhs (ex-showroom, estimated).
The exterior design is influenced by Tata’s current
IMPACT design language. Top-end models will feature projector headlights, a ceramic side
finisher, contrast roof, 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights,
foglamps, gloss black finish for the wide grille, and LED powered taillamps.
Inside, the Nexon has a dual-tone brown and beige floating dashboard with
gloss-finished panels, a 6.5-inch freestanding Harman infotainment system and
an 8 speaker audio system.
The Nexon can be had with a
new 1.5-litre turbodiesel four cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed manual,
which produces or a turbocharged 1.2-litre Revotron petrol engine. Both manual
and AMT options will be available.
