A new report from Largus.fr says that Renault will unveil
the 2018 Dacia (Renault) Duster at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show in
mid-September.
The French publication’s report suggests that the
all-new Dacia (Renault) Duster would ride on an upgraded version of the B0
platform. Previous reports have said that the CMF platform will form the basis
for the next-gen Duster. A 7-seat version named ‘Grand Duster’ is also
rumoured, and the new report says that this version could use a different
platform.
The 2018 Dacia Duster is expected to include the 125
hp 1.2-litre TCe petrol and the 1.5-litre dCi diesel units in its engine range.
The 90 ch (90 hp) 0.9-litre TCe petrol engine or the 100 ch (100 hp) 1.2-litre
TCe petrol engine could power the base model. Previous reports have also
mentioned a 1.6-litre dCi diesel engine that could serve as a replacement for
the existing 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine. Transmission choices will
include manual and EDC dual-clutch automatic. Brazil and other markets will
receive different specifications for the next-gen Duster.
