Lexus has unveiled the 2018 NX crossover at the 2017 Shanghai Auto Show. The 2018 version of the NX is updated with a new upper
grille area and new front bumpers.
The styling updates make the crossover
sleeker and more attractive along with adding improved aerodynamics. NX can be
fitted with AHS-equipped headlamps and triple projectors.
The NX also gets satin smoked chrome trim on the
inner parts of the grille. Two new 18-inch wheel options are available,
including the bronze finish and a dark metallic paint option. Inside, the new NX
gets a larger 10.3-inch screen and the HVAC controls are simplified with toggle
switches for control. USB ports are in the center console and have more amps
for faster charging.
Power will come from a turbo 2.0L four in the NX300.
The NX 300h hybrid will get a 2.5L inline-4 and a pair of electric motors with
class-leading power and fuel economy. The cars also get better engine sound and
exhaust note with the speakers in the car giving the sound via Active Sound
Control. A NX F Sport version will be offered as well. Pricing and availability
are unknown.
