The Infiniti QX80 Monograph concept has been
given a full digital debut, after having first been previewed last week.
The QX80 Monograph
nonetheless delivers a more resolved look than the model currently offered in
Australia, with themes that draw it closer to the brand’s latest styling.
Designed in Atsugi, Japan, for debut at the New York
motor show, the QX80 Monograph is described as “the ultimate expression of
futuristic luxury SUV design”.
Although specific numbers have not been offered,
Infiniti says the QX80 Monograph is “over five metres long”, which measures a titanic 5290 mm in overall length. The
interior of the QX80 Monograph is still to be revealed, but, given Infiniti’s
claims of a luxury focus, we can likely expect the company to showcase this
aspect in the weeks or months ahead.
The company has offered no other details at this
early stage, and it remains to be seen if this new QX80 should be taken as a
preview of the next-generation Nissan Patrol. The two are likely to again share
platforms and drivetrains, although Infiniti will surely look to set its luxury
SUV’s styling even further apart from the Nissan themes.
