The Mercedes-Benz G-Class is one of the most iconic
vehicles with its boxy shape for several
decades. This conformity to tradition looks to continue with the next
generation of the Gelandewagen, according to a report by Automotive News.
Previous spyshots of the new G-Wagen have confirmed
that the well-known body shape will continue to be a staple for the SUV, albeit
with more modern steering and suspension systems. The SUV is said to add some width to its dimensions, while
being lighter on the weighing scales.
The next G-Class will be built by Magna Steyr in
Graz, Austria, and is said to come with a smaller and lighter 4.0 litre
twin-turbo V8, which replaces the current 5.5 litre V8. AMG models should come
after its reported debut later this year.\
